Polyvinylidene fluoride resin DY-6

Polyvinylidene fluoride resin DY-6

DY-6 is a kind of VDF homopolymer with low melt mass flow rate and high melt viscosity, and is in the category of thermoplastic fluororesin. This resin can resist most of the chemical media with characteristics of superb heat resistance, high mechanical strength, high wear resistance, UV resistance and radiation resistance. Compared with VDF homopolymer products of similar makes, DY-6 resin has better high temperature thermal stability.

DY-6 resin can be processed into various linings of pump, valve, pipe fittings and equipment and other various workpieces using mould pressing process. Processing temperatures are normally in the range of 180℃〜300℃ according to different methods of processing. VDF homopolymer starts slight decomposition when temperature is above 300℃ and gives off hydrogen fluoride gas.

Precautions

1. DY-6 should be packed in PE bags and then sealed in outer packing bags. Net content of each bag is 25kg. Packing can be done in accordance with user’s requirements as well.

2. DY-6 should be stored in clean and dry warehouse.

3. Measures should be taken to protect the product from strenuous vibration and moisture when it is being transported.

4. It should be avoided to process and use the product at temperatures high than 370℃ for prevention of poisonous fumes produced from decomposition.
