PVDF resin DY-3 is the homopolymer of VDF and has good solubility in some solvents. It is suitable for preparing membrane materials using dissolution tape-casting techniques.
The membrane materials prepared with DY-3 using appropriate techniques has good mechanical strength and toughness, and is resistant to acids, alkali, strong oxidizer and halogen. The materials are stable when exposed to organic solvents such as aliphatic hydrocarbon, aromatic hydrocarbon, alcohol and aldehyde etc. The performance of the materials can be basically maintained when exposed to hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, sulfuric acid and thin and thick (40%) alkaline solution and temperatures as high as 100℃. The materials are resistant to radiations of γ ray and UV. The materials can be used for long period of time in wide range of temperatures and in the same time maintain the basic performance. Compared with other materials used in purification of portable water, PVDF hollow fiber ultrafiltration membrane has the characteristics of no energy consumption, environment friendly, removal of all bacteria, viruses, turbidity, spores, Giardia and rust etc., and in the same time retain the microelements necessary for human body.

Precautions
1. DY-3 should be packed in double-layer PE bags and then put in hard carton pails. The net content of each pail shall be 20kg. The product can be packed in accordance with the requirements of the users as well.
2. DY-3 should be stored in clean, cool and dry warehoused to prevent the dust and moisture etc. from getting into the product.
3. DY-3 can be transported as non-hazardous product. Measures should be taken to protect the product from moisture, tumbling and strenuous vibration.
4. It should be avoided to process and use the product at temperatures high than 370℃ for prevention of poisonous fumes produced from decomposition.
